VOICE LESSONS
Vocalists are story-tellers, each with their own unique style and set of talents. I love exploring with an individual to discover their voice, their goals and their accomplishments. We work together not only on technique of the breath, tone, range, stamina, volume, but also as "Song Detectives" to find the right songs, and on the interpretation and presentation of the songs. Many of my students are working toward auditions for up-coming shows or college auditions and it is a joy to celebrate with them on their achievements.
PIANO LESSONS
Everyone is unique and special and comes to music from a different perspective. It is my joy and privilege to find the right method of teaching for each individual student so that they can play the piano with full understanding and enjoyment. I work hard to make lesson times fun and engaging, motivating and encouraging. I am always reminding my students that it IS called, "Playing" the piano, so it should be fun!Â
As someone who had to practice incredibly hard to get where I am today, I know the importance of a good Music Teacher. I’ve taken everything I have learned over the years and combined it into a style that is friendly, approachable and effective.
BEGINNING GUITAR
There were a couple of years in my youth when I really wanted to be a folk singer and I spent a lot of time with my guitar! If you want to learn to play, I think with a little bit of work and repetition, a guitar can become a good friend! I would love to share what I know and get you started on your journey with yours. I truly believe that anyone who puts in the time and effort to practice can succeed.
